AWDS Units


Advance Wars: Dual Strike has a number of new units which makes the gameplay even more interesting than ever before. This page shows you information about the new units. If you want to know about all the other units, click here for those belonging to AW1 and here for AW2.

These huge tanks look almost as mighty as the tanks in the intro to Super Famicom Wars... except they are definitely not made out of cardboard. As of now, these are the most powerful land units in the game. If you see one, my advice is to run like hell... or blow it up with a good ol' bomber! Although these tanks have the highest offense and defense yet, they have low movement, fuel and ammo, meaning that they have to be resupplied often to keep them strong.


These guys can only move along pipes and bases, so make sure you don't build one of them in the middle of nowhere! These can run on pipes at great speed and can attack indirectly on any kind of unit, as long as it is in range.

These are basically remote-controlled bombs which inflict 5HP damage to units within a radius of 3 spaces. You should be careful though, as these bombs have very limited fuel, so make sure you think ahead before deploying them. Detonating this unit will not count as a lost unit, thus if this is the first unit you create, and then you detonate it, you won't immediately lose.




This unit can load up to two air units [and supply them]. Don't you just hate it when your air units are running low on fuel/rounds? Well, these are a great solution. These can also attack enemy air units at great range and firepower. However, carriers are very expensive and vulnerable to subs, so they should be protected.

The Black Boat can load up to two infantry units and can supply and repair 1HP to and adjacent unit. So now you can scramble these guys instead of APCs whenever your sea units need a refill.


These units have no weapons, but they destroy any unit in the space they move into! Ooziums cannot be deployed from bases, but can only be pre-deployed They do add large amounts to Power meters When destroyed. Once You have completed The normal Campaign mission: "Crystal Calamity", they can be bought at the shop, and used in Custom maps.

This handy new plane can hide in the sky, meaning not only it will be invisible to enemies unless they have an adjacent units, but also that it can only be attacked by fighters and other stealths when hidden. Their Omni-missiles can attack anything as well. However, when hidden, they use up 8 fuel at the beginning of each turn, meaning they must be resupplied often.
